Jan 10, 2023

If you're the proud owner of an automatic watch, you know that the timepiece winds itself through the natural movement of your wrist. However, there may be times when your watch stops ticking, and you'll need to manually wind it to get it running again.

In this post, we'll show you how to wind your Jackie Dalton automatic watch correctly to ensure it keeps accurate time and continues to function smoothly.

Step 1: Locate the winding crown

The winding crown is the small knob or button located on the side of your watch. It's typically located at the 3 o'clock position, depending on the model of your watch.

Step 2: Lock the crown

Before you can start winding your watch, you'll need to make sure the crown is fully pushed.

Step 3: Start winding

Once the crown is fully pushed, you can start winding your watch. Hold the crown with your fingers and turn it in a clockwise direction. You may need to wind it anywhere from 20 to 40 times to fully wind it. As you wind, you should feel resistance. This is normal and ensures that you're winding the watch properly.

Step 5: Set the time

After you've wound your watch, you should set the time. To do this, pull the crown out one click and turn it to set the hands to the correct time. Once the correct time is set, push the crown back into its original position.

Your Jackie Dalton automatic watch is now wound and ready to go! Keep in mind that it will continue to wind itself as you wear it. However, if you haven't worn your watch for an extended period, you may need to manually wind it again.

By following these simple steps, you'll be able to keep your Jackie Dalton automatic watch in top working condition. A fully charged watch should last for around 12 - 18 hours without any hand movement. If it's not worn for at least this period of time you will need to repeat the process.
